Cracked Wide Open: A Journey of Forgiveness, Healing, & Love
June Theme: Protect the Vulnerable
Quote: ” In this journey of life, one has to dig deeper to find the courage to not run from the experience or from the opportunity to love with your heart wide open. You have to choose to say YES and make a commitment to yourself to live fully, wholly, and completely; to go through the lessons so that you can unfold so that you can experience your highest good. This requires a willingness to stay the course and go through the process of healing. The blessing is in the experience.” #LiveLifeFully
Pain, heartbreak, suffering and/or bondage is an experience. A human experience that is very real on the human level. But there is also a higher Reality to which pain, heartbreak, suffering and bondage are not real. As Dr. Holmes said, “To that Reality bondage is not even an illusion or hallucination; there is a part of us that is never fooled. That is why, in the midst of the greatest trial, death, or any human suffering, something rises from within and says with Job: ‘Though I die, yet shall I live.’ “
The world is beginning to realize that it has learned all it should through suffering and pain. Surely there can be no Intelligence in the Universe that wishes man to be sick, suffer pain, be unhappy and end in oblivion. Surely if God or Universal Intelligence is imbued with goodness, then It could not ordain that man should ultimately be other than a perfect expression of Life (Science of Mind-page107).
Why is it necessary that the soul shall undergo the experiences of evolution? Individuality means spontaneity, self-choice, volition, reality, creative ability. If we were to assume individuality, and volition, without law to bring its choice into fruition, we would have a dream, a hallucination, a fantasy. Individuality presupposes choice, which presupposes the possibility of bringing choice into actual experience. Only through experience can it come full-orbed into conscious unity with the Divine Mind (Can We Talk to God page 47).
The world likes action, change. Action is life. Alertness is the word. Always be alert. There must be mental alertness before there can be physical activity. Act as though things were happening even though they may not appear to be. Keep things moving and soon you will have to avoid the rich. (Creative Mind and Success-page 41)
Now is the time to take action about what we do with these experiences. The choices we make in these difficult times can lead us toward integration, healing and creative change, or they can keep us stuck trying to heal our experiences by repeating them. I see the choices involved as a crucial part of our life’s call to know ourselves at a deeper level – a soul’s journey faced by each of us in our own way. The question to ask is, “Does this choice or action support my higher good”?
