Ensure the Stewardship of Our Planet
In the book of the month, Spiritual Ecology, Llewellyn Vaughn-Lee says, “The current environmental movement is driven by fear…” That is very accurate but in reality, how much of our current world paradigms are not driven by fear?
We are inundated by a mass consciousness strongly aligned with the vibrations of fear. Can we do something about that? YES. Are we ready and willing to do something about it? Therein lies the question at the crossroads.
“There will come a day when people of all races, colors, and creeds will put aside their differences. They will come together in love, joining hands in unification, to heal the Earth and all Her children. They will move over the Earth, like a great Whirling Rainbow, bringing peace, understanding, and healing everywhere they go. All living things will flourish, drawing sustenance from the breast of our Mother, the Earth.” Let us contemplate the Prophecy of the Rainbow Warriors and what is ours to do…
SOM Point of View
“Fear and faith are identical in that the energy used in the one is the same energy as that used in the other, since there is but one final Energy in the universe and this final Energy is the energy of thought. Fear is a positive acceptance that you shall experience that which you dislike. Faith is a positive acceptance that you shall experience that which you do like. But they are identical in this mental action. The only difference is in the direction.” Effective Prayer by Ernest Holmes (p. 50.3).
We are part of the matrix of our planet. It not only makes a difference in how we treat the earth physically; our state of being, our emotions have an effect on living things – all living things including our planet, Mother Earth.
What We Believe, by Ernest Holmes
“We believe the ultimate goal of life to be a complete emancipation from all discord of every nature, and that this goal is sure to be attained by all.” Published in the first issue of Science of Mind magazine, October, 1927. This edited version uses gender-inclusive language.
Sermon by the Sea, by Ernest Holmes
“Find me one person who no longer has any fear of the universe, or of God, or of man, or of anything else, and you will have brought to me someone in whose presence we may sit and fear shall vanish as clouds before the sunlight. 1959 at Asilomar, CA
This Thing Called Life, by Ernest Holmes (p. 26.5)
“No fear can remain where faith holds sway. Faith reunites us with the original, creative Spirit, the Divine Mind, which already exists at the center of our being. This kingdom of heaven, which is the kingdom of wholeness, is within.
Call to Action
We live in a climate of 24 hour news channels, social media, etc. bombarding us with what is wrong with us. We live in a world where separate is better: the them against us mentality. If we focus on what is wrong, we keep recreating the same things over and over again whether it’s in our own lives, our community’s lives or the lives of everyone on the planet. Most news today incites fear in its listeners. It’s hard to discuss solutions to anything if we allow our fear to drive our reality. How we language anything either builds walls or builds community. Ask yourself in a world that works for everyone what can I do to help heal the planet? There is that old adage “If you didn’t plant a tree 20 years ago, plant one today.” We all need to take responsibility for this planet we walk, if not for us; then for our children, our children’s children and generations beyond.
“I am the manifestation of God in form, watch out world, here I come!”
Join us each Sunday as we discuss the benefits of applying spiritual principles in our lives.
