Compassion in Action
Monthly Theme: Care for the Poor – Compassion
It has been said that compassion without action is just observation. I also believe that action for the sake of action can lead to burnout and resentment. We can learn to observe and know, on a deep level, what is ours to do and what is not ours to do. We can be part of the solution while honoring our needs. We can take clear action that works for those we are serving as well as for ourselves.
The nature of God is incarnated in every soul. All are whole, perfect and complete – just as they are. If we are perceiving “poor,” then we are experiencing separation from God. There is no separation.
“The whole purpose of the Science of Mind is to reconcile the apparent separation of the spiritual world, which must be Perfect, with the material world, which appears imperfect.” Ernest Holmes, Science of Mind, page 448.1
Join us each Sunday as we discuss the benefits of applying spiritual principles in our lives.
