“Blessings in Disguise”

Monthly Theme: Respect other Nations and Peoples

It is easy to count the blessings we want and can readily see, but what of those that are “in disguise” and what of those that WE can consciously declare as a blessing?

“On awakening, bless this day, for it is already full of unseen good which your blessings will call forth; for to bless is to acknowledge the unlimited good that is embedded in the very texture of the universe and awaiting each and all.” ~Pierre Pradervand

SOM Point of View

In the field of Oneness, inseparable from the Infinite, that which we put out is reflected to us. When we clear the intention of our thoughts, words and actions, we are opening to a greater expression of the goodness that Spirit is.

“If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is thank you, it will be enough.” Meister Eckhart

“Gratitude is one of the chief graces of human existence and is crowned in heaven with a consciousness of unity.” Science of Mind, Ernest Homes, pg. 497

“Let us so live and think that we may retire at night in peace, knowing that no harm can come to the soul; that we may rise in the morning renewed in body and in mind, with a brighter outlook, a happier expectation and a clearer joy, looking upon all with love, condemning non and blessing even those who seek to injure us. Let us learn to be perfect, even as that Divine Being, residing in the heart of all and overshadowing Eternity, must also be perfect.” Ernest Holmes, Science of Mind, pg. 435

“Our thought does not go out to influence persons or things. What it does is readjust our own consciousness, our own thinking, to include a larger and more harmonious field of action. We learn that when we get our own consciousness straightened out, things in our external world adjust themselves to meet our new and better inward awareness.” Ernest Holmes, Living the Science of Mind, pg. 204

Call to Action

Bless each day with Gratitude – from start to finish, for every breath, for every situation, for the teachers and the infuriators, for the kind and the unkind.

Bless the people you work with – pay attention to how your day shifts and changes when you are focused on gratitude and blessing of others

Bless the people that you feel have wronged you – bless yourself for who you are and trust that they are who they need to be

Count your blessings!

I give abundant thanks to the Infinite Spirit from which I am created. I surrender into Love and know that gratitude is the blessing that enriches all of life.

Join us each Sunday as we discuss the benefits of applying spiritual principles in our lives.
